Retro Vibes Reimagined: An Old-School Visual Journey

For Johnyboy’s “Дело было вечером,” the mission was clear – create an old-school style music video reminiscent of the iconic ‘Ruki Vverh’ retro clips. In just 13 hours, our nimble team of three navigated through four different locations, each adding a distinct flavor to the visual narrative. The artist wanted something straightforward, a video where the visual experience wasn’t burdened by profound meanings or complex narratives. We employed chroma keying techniques and dynamic background replacements to infuse a playful, yet captivating, aesthetic reminiscent of an era where music videos were all about vibrancy and fun. Every frame, every scene is a nod to a nostalgic past, delivered through a lens of contemporary craftsmanship.
